Superstar plays a dual role in his next flick “Hara”, the new name for “Sultan the Warrior”, which was earlier confirmed by its debutant director Soundarya Ashwin, daughter of Super Star Rajini. While “Hara” is animated, “Hara” is the real man in flesh and blood.
A source close to the producer council revealed that Soundarya had indeed registered the title “Hara” at the council when she began the project a few years ago. But Rajinikanth who had his own reasons felt that “Hara” was not a good choice and changed it then for “Sultan the Warrior”. It was said that Rajini who was always passionate about his all time favourite movie “Baasha” where he played a Muslim -Manick Baasha wanted to sentimentally change it to a Muslim name ‘Sultan’. Now, with the undue delay of the project, they wanted to go back to the original title. It is an open secret that Vijayalakshmi of Chennai-28 fame is the heroine for the animated Rajini and her portions have already been canned in Hyderabad. Now the hot news is that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been roped in for the K.S. Ravikumar directed live portions of Rajinikanth. In fact, an insider added that Vidya was the first choice of the Superstar.In the meantime, Soundarya confirmed that the title has been changed from “Sultan the Warrior” to “Hara” and that Ravikumar will be part of the project.
