Raavan (Villain in Telugu) was loosely based on Ramayan and at the box office it didn't work. Mani Ratnam hasn't given up, he's out to direct another film this time which revolves around a contemporary Mahabharata..a woman with five men in her life. Sources cite that it would be a complete bold and commercial film but there is lot more competition coming in. Another similar subject is getting ready in Telugu too. After Aa Naluguru, Chandra Siddharth wanted to direct Aa Aidhuguru with this theme but he gave it up after learning that elsewhere the film was in the scripting stage. Now it's finally happening..a film on a woman involved with five men.
