Gaayam 2’, the sequel to Ramgopal Varma’s 1993 marvel ‘Gaayam’ is being planned for release on September 3rd. The film has the protagonist of its prequel ‘Durga’ which be reprised by actor Jagapathi Babu yet again. Kota Srinivasa Rao will also again don the role of the antagonist ‘Guru Narayan’.
Talking to 123telugu.com director of the film Praveen Sri said, “The film is presently in its re-recording stages. We are planning to release the film on September 3rd.”
The unit recently launched a website, which gives more details about the film. It is expected that big movies like ‘Komaram Puli’ will be released in September, and releasing the movie in competition with them will be a very tough task. With the talk that most big movies could be postponed further, it won’t be a big surprise if ‘Gaayam 2’ finds its audiences.
