Qualcomm Snapdragon Come in Windows 7 Phone

Qualcomm announced a chipset manufacturer to provide mobile Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for Microsoft's latest mobile platforms: Windows Phone 7.

With the availability of the Windows version 7 Phone chipsets, Qualcomm to expand the reach of the platform outside the Android handset, which hopefully will mengkatrol sales and expand market shares of Qualcomm.

"Snapdragon chipset supports all major operating systems including Android, Windows Phone 7 and others. Therefore, we are eager for various OEM vendors - who run many operating systems - to select the Snapdragon platform on their devices," said Harry K. Nugraha, senior director & Country Manager Qualcomm Indonesia, to VIVAnews, via electronic mail.

Now, said Harry, Snaprdragon can be found in a 120 form and on 20 commercial devices, including smartphones, tablet computers, as well as smartbook. For example, the tablet-smartphone hybrid device Streak Dell, which recently launched in Indonesia.

"Excellence Snapdragon is a type which is an integrated chipset and offers an optimal combination of process performance (via a customized CPU), connectivity, multimedia and efficient battery usage," Harry explained.

Actually, Harry said, before this, Snapdragon chipset is used in some previous versions of Windows-based smartphones. For example, QSD8250 Qualcomm chipset that is used by mobile phones and HTC HTC HD2 HD7.

However, Harry adds again, now Qualcomm has provided a large amount of investment in optimizing the chipset platform for Windows Phone 7.

RGV to Delete Few Scenes From ’Rakta Charitra’

Ramgopal Varma’s sky hype film “Rakta Charitra-1” is being facing controversies from the starting its self, even after release (Released on yesterday) also this film is facing the same. Here, new controversy has been raised for “Rakta Charitra-1”, the TDP leaders and followers alleged that Varma projected NTR as the one who encouraged factional violence by introducing Paritala Ravi into the party.

Protestors in Anantapur, Hindupur, Eluru, Visakhapatnam, Karimnagar and other towns gathered outside theatres, raised slogans against Varma and burnt his effigy. They demanded a ban on the movie. Former Minister Paritala Ravi’s wife Pratila Sunitha also stipulated to delete the scenes which projected NTR as the one who encouraged factional violence by inducting Paritala Ravi into the party.Considering all these allegations, RGV (Ramgopal Varma) and Producer C.Kalyan, has agreed to delete some scenes allegedly projecting former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N.T. Rama Rao in poor light in their film “Rakta Charitra-1”.

Producer C.Kalyan stated that, they would delete the objectionable scenes and dialogues by today (October 23rd). He also said that he is the biggest fan of the late former chief minister and popular actor NTR. He added those who had not even watched the movie were staging protests. They should see the larger context in which the movie has been produced. Finally he has agreed to delete the scenes.

The Film

HISSS has nothing extraordinary to show except some visual effects that are not up to the mark compared to other films of this genre.

The Synopsis

An American hunter George (Jeff Doucette) comes to India in search of a cobra as he believes that it has cure for cancer. He captures the snake and kills it which enrages its mate (Mallika Sherawat). She transforms into a human female and her anger unleashes mindless deaths. Vikram Gupta (Irrfan Khan) is given the assignment to catch the killer. The rest of the story deals with the unraveling of the mystery of the snake woman.

The Performance

Hissss Movie Review
With a poor story line, Mallika Sherawat has nothing much to do except some bare acts. Irrfan is good but fades out in a poorly etched role. Jeff Douchette tries hard but unimpressive. All others just go through their motions.

The Techniques

A very weak story, hampered by a loose screenplay makes the film yawn and fret. E ven director Jennifer Lynch cannot make anything worthwhile to see in the film. The special effects do not appear to be very special at all and fade away in the mediocrity of the total film. Cinematography and audiography also do not make much of an impression.

The Verdict

Hisss can safely be given a miss.

Map World, Google Earth Competitor from China

Google's fate was not too good in China. They had trouble with the relevant local government internet censorship policy - although the company eventually led Eric Schmidt is still able to operate there.

Google's search engine market in China continues to decline, eroded by the skyrocketing popularity of locally-made search engine, Baidu.

The final step was taken by the Chinese government will surely not too much fun Google. Through the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, they launched an online mapping service called the World Map. This service is projected to challenge the Google Earth service in the future.

World Map can be accessed free of charge and allows its user to search for two or three-dimensional images across the face of the earth. To explore it, Internet users simply visit the site or www.chinaonmap.cn www.tianditu.cn and do not need to install the service like Google Earth.

Quoted from Asia One, Saturday (10/23/2010), the Chinese government seems quite optimistic with the prospect of the World Map. They believe this service will quickly popular, at least at the national level.

"In the near future, the World Map will grow into a famous Chinese brand in the online map services market proven reliability," said Director of State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping of China, Xu Deming.

World Map featuring satellite images with a resolution of 500 meters. Resolution can be increased up to 2.5 meters for a map of China and 0.6 meters in particular to map more than 300 cities in China.

"It took two years to prepare for this service with all the satellite images taken from 2006 to 2010," added officials, Jiang Jie.

Although in future World Map is expected to compete with Google Earth, but China remains realistic. They called the World Map is still in its early stages and too much if present should be compared with Google's product, which is already far more established.

"The service is expected to update the geological data twice a year, while Google Earth is able to update every few minutes via satellite. The service also will be supported by more than 80 virtual machines to serve 10 million requests per day, while Google Earth has thousands of virtual machines, "said Jiang.

Google has not yet reacted associated launch this service. A spokesman for them in China, Marsha Wang, could not comment.

Vivek Oberoi steals the show with a powerful performance. Kota Srinivasa Rao lives his role. Abhimanyu Singh essays his role convincingly. Shatrughan Sinha, seen on the screen after a long time, is his usual self. All others do well with author backed roles.

The Techniques

As is his wont, RGV comes out with a very gripping story and screenplay. The

dialogues add to the flow of the narration. Background music is good. Cinematography is excellent. Technically and production wise the film scores on the high side.

The Verdict

Rakta Charitra should be seen to understand the nature of feuds that sometimes cloud the practice of politics. Ram Gopal Varma has given another Sarkar level film.

TDP activists protest over portrayal of NTR in Rakta Charitra

Telugu Desam Party activists protested at Krishna theatre in Anathapur alleging that late NT Rama Rao was portrayed in a bad taste.

Shatrughan Sinha plays the role of NTR in Ram Gopal Varma’s Rakta Charitra. Police has arrested about 30 activists who tried to stop the exhibition of movie.

Tollywood film producers council divided

Tollywood film producers’ council is currently divided into two groups: one is the A-league film makers who own a huge number of theatres and have half-a-dozen actors in their family, and the other is small movie makers who make films on a budget of less than Rs 5 crore and struggle to get theatres to screen their films.

The fight between these two groups in the Telugu Film Producers’ Council led to the resignation of Mr Shyam Prasad Reddy, the president of the Council on October 14.

Trouble broke into the open when the producers’ council unanimously passed a resolution a month ago, requesting the government to reduce ticket prices of theatres, cut shooting location charges by 75 %, make it mandatory for theatres to screen small budget movies for at least 16 weeks and restrict screening of dubbed movies to 50 theatres in the state.

NTR’s Brindavanam collected Rs 22.14 crore for the first seven days. Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja first week’s collections stood at Rs 21.31 crore.

Brindavanam first week collections created all time records in Anantapuram, Kurnool town, Madanapally, Proddutur, Gudivada, Kavali and Palamaneru. The movie is still going strong in several theatres.

Nokia will lose most of the trend, according to principal analyst Malik Kamal-Saadi. "Informa expects that the market share of Symbian, of the total smart phone users decreased significantly from 53 percent in 2009 to 32 percent in 2015. In terms of sales, the Android smart phone is expected to surpass Symbian in 2012," he said.

Kamal-Saadi added, however, Nokia will be under great pressure to change their strategy if the innovation does not happen on the Symbian platform.

"If Nokia joined with Android, the support of this ecosystem and all the key players can help the smart phone industry into a commodity business software the same as what Microsoft did in the PC world," he said.

If Nokia continues in the current strategy, Nokia will have niche markets, Mr. Kamal-Saadi concluded in a report by the Telegraph

Dell Venue Pro, previously rumored Dell named Lightning, has not been officially launched by Texas-based information technology company that. Is merely an announcement. In addition to capacitive AMOLED screen, Venue Pro also confirmed to be present with 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

Brindavanam Movie Previews

The one big remaining film for the festive season is releasing on Thursday, October 14th. Vamsi Paidipally directed Brindavanam has Kajal Agarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the heroines. NTR Jr. will be seen in an out and out family entertainer this time. Srihari and Prakash Raj don't get along well, their daughters are Samantha and Kajal respectively. Srihari's daughter is in love with NTR Jr. but when she gets to know that Kajal is being forced into a marraige with the villain's son, she sends her love interest NTR Jr. to save her out of the situation. In the process the duo are drawn to each other.

Will Kajal who's aim is to go abroad for higher studies stay back? What will happen to Samantha? NTR mends the differences between Srihari and Prakash Raj, and the villages too. But there is a small twist in the end.

NTR Jr. is hoping for a change of image with Brindavanam. He says, "The film is a mix of Simhadri and Bommarillu. Even though the title gives an impression of a soft film in the offering, Brindavanam has all the commercial elements and these have been included in the film because the script requires them. I'm sure it will appeal to all sections of the audience." NTR Jr. has completely changed his look and moustache for the film. Though his fans would love to see him more in action roles, he is bent upon playing different characters.

The other cast of Brindavanam are Kota Srinivas Rao, Brahmanandam, Ahuti Prasad, Raghu Babu, Venu Madhav, Mukesh Rishi, Sana, Surekha Vani and Pragathi. The music has been composed by Thaman S. and Chota K. Naidu is the director of photography. The dialogues are by Koratala Shiva, editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh, art direction by Anand Sai and action by Ram-Laxman.

Sanjana Celebrates Birthday In Dubai

Sanjana who made her debut in the Telugu film industry in the film 'Bujjigadu Made In Chennai', is reportedly committed to five films in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam languages at the moment. So, she feels this birthday is extra special for her and accordingly she celebrated it in Dubai. The Malayalam film 'Casanova' in which Sanjana is playing the lead, was scheduled to be shot in Dubai for a while. "The shooting of the film commenced on 1st of this month. My mom was with me in Dubai and as it was my birthday, my dad too joined us. I'm glad to celebrate my birthday in Dubai," said Sanjana.
