BlackBerry PlayBook Price Released, Order Available Now!

Playbook, RIM - The BlackBerry PlayBook has surfaced on the Future Shop and Best Buy Canada online websites for pre-order early, revealing Canadian pricing for the device. Showcased are the 16, 32, and 64GB models, priced at $499, $599, and $699, respectively. The Blackberry Playbook, one of a fleet of tablet computers unveiled at this year's 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.

The devices, according to both Future Shop and Best Buy are slated to arrive in their warehouses on April 19th.

The PlayBook is also available in the United States now as well for pre-order, with Best Buy US listing the devices at $499, $599, and $699 USD. Playbook, RIM.

UberTwitter Suspended, Twidroyd and UberCurrent for Violating Twitter Rules

UberTwitter suspended, Uber, TweetDeck, HootSuite, Echofon. Twitter apps for Android, iPhone and BlackBerry have found that their favourites have been shut out of the social networking service on Friday.

The move affects mobile clients UberTwitter, Twidroyd and UberCurrent, meaning that BlackBerry users can now only the official Twitter app on their phone.

The violations include, but aren't limited to, a privacy issue with private Direct Messages longer than 140 characters, trademark infringement, and changing the content of users' Tweets in order to make money

Further clarification from UberMedia has confirmed that Echofon hasn't been affected as we previously reported, even though it's an UberMedia UberTwitter suspended, Uber, TweetDeck, HootSuite, Echofon product.

The Twitterverse is abuzz with news that Twitter suspended popular mobile apps such as UberTwitter, UberCurrent, and twidroyd today. The services had not recently changed anything about the functionality or behavior of the apps, which leads one to wonder why Twitter suddenly decided to shut them down.

The answer probably lies in Twitter's own business and revenue aspirations. Twitter has skyrocketed into the digital consciousness, and has become a staple of social networking and global communications. Third-party apps like the services shut down by Twitter today have contributed in no small measure to the growth and success of Twitter, but in order to monetize the service effectively, Twitter may be attempting to funnel more users through the actual Twitter site, and the official Twitter UberTwitter suspended, Uber, TweetDeck, HootSuite, Echofon apps.

Nexus S Smartphone from Google

Nexus S is the second brand smartphones made by Google to boost the popularity of Android. This is the first smartphone on the market that use the latest version of the Android operating system 2.3 or called Gingerbread. Galaxy S, U.S. Best Seller Android Phone

Based on data collected smartphone sales to Gartner, Samsung was selected as the largest provider of Android smartphone in the United States in terms of retail sales by the third quarter of 2010.

According to Gartner, the South Korean manufacturer that successfully controlled 32.1 percent of Android smartphone retail market as of Q310. This figure grew rapidly from 9.2 per cent compared to the fourth quarter of 2009.

Samsung Mobile recorded a significant sales success of Samsung's product portfolio S Galaxy, a premium smartphone also had record sales of five million units in global markets over the next three months.

In the United States alone, sales of Samsung's S Galaxy had just penetrated three million units. While the superpower that it is marketed by almost all the giant operators including AT & T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular, and Cellular South.

Blackberry Future Concept - Blackberry Empathy

BlackBerry design which we know is quite typical. Wide-screen, trackpad or trackball navigation features, and the average comes with a Qwerty keypad. But, the concept of this one probably will make you stunned and did not previously suspected.

Google Android Beating Down BlackBerry

Google's Android platform managed to shift the position of the operating system Blackberry in the smartphone OS competition. According to research firm Canalys, Android is now in second position or controlling 17 percent of smartphone software platforms market in the third quarter of this year.
In the top spot, still perched Nokia Symbian platform which controls 37 percent of the smartphone OS market. The BlackBerry from Research In Motion (RIM), Apple and Microsoft respectively positioned behind Android.

Blackpad - Blackberry Tablet Launch on November

BlackBerry maker Research In Motion, which still hasn't come up with a phone that can credibly compete with Apple's iPhone, is preparing a tablet computer to compete with Apple's iPad.

But we would be very surprised if RIM could put together a combination of hardware, software, pricing, and marketing that anyone would find compelling enough to buy instead of an iPad. So it's probably toast.

Meanwhile, a few new bits on RIM's efforts, via Bloomberg:

It's going to be called the "Blackpad," according to a Bloomberg source. RIM bought the domain blackpad.com, a fact that was revealed earlier this week.
RIM will introduce it in November.
The Blackpad will be about the same size as the iPad, and will be able to use a BlackBerry's internet connection (something Apple's iPad can't use an iPhone for -- at least not yet).

"RIM really has yet to demonstrate that it can roll out touchscreen technology to match the leaders in the space, most noticeably Apple."

The BlackPad - which apparently includes front-and back-facing (video) cameras as well as a 1Ghz processor - is slated to be priced "in line with the iPad" at approximately $500.

Yes, $500 is definitely a reasonable price point for all that hardware, especially if the BlackPad's purported tethering capabilities actually do coalesce.

BlackBerry loyalists? It's not like this is a situation where having a plastic keyboard is helpful. Or a situation where anyone would want to use their BlackBerry apps on a bigger screen.
