RGV to Delete Few Scenes From ’Rakta Charitra’


Ramgopal Varma’s sky hype film “Rakta Charitra-1” is being facing controversies from the starting its self, even after release (Released on yesterday) also this film is facing the same. Here, new controversy has been raised for “Rakta Charitra-1”, the TDP leaders and followers alleged that Varma projected NTR as the one who encouraged factional violence by introducing Paritala Ravi into the party.

Protestors in Anantapur, Hindupur, Eluru, Visakhapatnam, Karimnagar and other towns gathered outside theatres, raised slogans against Varma and burnt his effigy. They demanded a ban on the movie. The protestors attacked theatres in Visakhapatnam and Karimnagar towns and stopped the screening of the movie.TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu demanded that the scenes disparagement NTR should be deleted and the filmmaker should apologize all the protestors of TDP.NTR’s second wife Lakshmi Parvathi too demanded that the controversial scenes be deleted. She said that if the scenes are not deleted she will file case against the film in a Court. Former Minister Paritala Ravi’s wife Pratila Sunitha also stipulated to delete the scenes which projected NTR as the one who encouraged factional violence by inducting Paritala Ravi into the party.Considering all these allegations, RGV (Ramgopal Varma) and Producer C.Kalyan, has agreed to delete some scenes allegedly projecting former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N.T. Rama Rao in poor light in their film “Rakta Charitra-1”.

Producer C.Kalyan stated that, they would delete the objectionable scenes and dialogues by today (October 23rd). He also said that he is the biggest fan of the late former chief minister and popular actor NTR. He added those who had not even watched the movie were staging protests. They should see the larger context in which the movie has been produced. Finally he has agreed to delete the scenes.
